Date Night in Beverly Hills

This meal is hosted.

As mentioned in my last post, I’ve been renting clothes. I love that it forces me to dress up – Abe and I have been spending a lot less time on the couch at home (sorry Julius) and more time going out. I slipped on this Carven Pleated Metallic dress and headed to Beverly Hills on a chilly Friday after Abe finished work. Citizen is one of our favorite places for a date night. It’s romantic, fun, and the food is really good.

Seth Greenburg is their new executive chef, so there are a lot of new menu items. The best biscuits in LA are still there, but it’s not like I can eat that anymore. 😭😭😭

The staff was really accommodating to my gluten allergy, and I loved how there was a good mix of foods on the menu – everything from steak to salads.

The Salmon in Tomato Broth was light and satisfying. Abe’s Butternut Squash with Pumpkin Seed Romesco, Crispy Brussels, Sumac, Feta, and Pomegranate was a beautiful vegetarian option.

Their cocktails were a lot of fun too. This is their “Porcupine” – a spicy Serrano Infused Tequila with Citrus Agave, (Flaming) Lime, Basil, and Cucumber.
