Along with my wheat restriction, I’ve been on an elimination diet all month – no soy/dairy/eggs/corn. So my go-to place to eat out has been True Food Kitchen. I’ve been to the Santa Monica and El Segundo locations a few times. They’re the most diet-accommodating restaurant chain I know of.
This time, we visited their space in Pasadena.
Abe got their Inside-Out Quinoa Burger. The patties are made of yes, quinoa. It’s more of a knife and fork situation than grabbing it with your hands and biting. He still enjoyed it.
I had the Seasonal Ingredient Salad with salmon – it had brussels sprouts, butternut squash, cauliflower, white bean, pomegranate, toasted mulberry, and horseradish vinaigrette.
To share, we polished off this Charred Broccoli and Cauliflower dish with harissa tahini, medjool dates, dill, mint, and pistachio. Heaven!
