Things I Can’t Shut Up About (Holiday Edition)

I can’t believe how quickly this year has flown by – it feels like just yesterday that I was sharing my 2016 Gift Guide. I’m still much more about giving donations and experiences rather than physical presents but over the last eleven months, I’ve definitely been taking notes on things that fill my heart with joy. I’d be so psyched to get any of these things.

This post contains affiliate links – Shopbop is currently having a huge sale (use code MORE17) and The Actors Diet occasionally receives vendor/ brand sponsorships for mentioning their products and services.

Citizens of Humanity Low Rise Skinny Jeans – I LIVE IN THESE JEANS (above). They have the perfect amount of stretch, and are as comfy as wearing sweatpants (but they don’t get loose like jeggings).

Equinox Gym Membership – I am proud to say I’ve gone to the gym almost every single day since I’ve joined. And I’m doing it MY way – if I don’t feel like lifting weights or stretching, I don’t. I even traded my free Pilates/Trainer session for a spa appointment.

Movie Pass – It sounds too good to be true. But for less than the cost of one ticket, I have already seen 4 movies at some of my favorite theaters. The main issue with this membership is that you can only buy seats for yourself, and you have to be at the theater to buy them. But for someone who has a lot of random free time during the day (like me) it’s perfect.

Spotify Family Plan – I don’t know why it took us so long to figure out that you could set up separate profiles in one account. I’ve been listening to so much more music now that I’m not worried about Abe rolling his eyes whenever I make another Ani DiFranco playlist.

Shashi Mini Hoop Earrings – I like to wear both of them in one ear, rather than separately. It reminds me of my little hoops in college, but more sophisticated and grown-up.

Acting Classes – I took a bunch this year – as many as 3 at a time – but my favorite, hands-down, was studying with Risa Bramon Garcia at The BGB Studios. I’ve never felt so free of judgement and empowered as an actor.

Gluten-Free Vegan Sexy Cake – There’s something about the tangy flavor of this cake – I still can’t get it out of my head. I crave it all the time. What a perfect homemade gift to make someone with a lot of dietary restrictions (hi!)

Bob Baker Marionette Theater – I actually got tickets for my entire family when they come at the end of December.
