Remember when I used to make a ton of smoothies? I had a box of protein powder sent to me by Bob’s Red Mill – obviously it’s been so long since we’ve had some in the house, because Abe was convinced you consumed it raw. I concocted a mixture my Target Pajamas (which I’m thoroughly in love with, by the way). Since we record that, I’ve tried different combinations, and come upon one that is perfect in sweetness and consistency – using yogurt, water, and ice instead of almond milk. It’s a Blueberry Banana Protein Smoothie.
Before we get to that recipe, can we discuss the new Archie Comics? Abe grew up reading these, and I’ll admit I was less than thrilled when he came home with two copies – I’m trying my best not to bring more stuff into the house that will sit collecting dust.
Even though I outgrew comic books a long time ago, these are so beautifully drawn – and cleverly written. I spent a relaxing chunk of my morning with Betty, Veronica, and a delicious smoothie.
