How to Make a Hotel Room Breakfast

How to Make a Hotel Room Breakfast using your iron and coffee pot.

We spent most of Jennifer Alden and Kirk Spahn’s wedding weekend at the Stanford Park Hotel in Menlo Park, CA.  Between the rehearsal dinner, after-party buffets, and brunches, Leslie and I decided to take it easy on Saturday before the wedding and eat breakfast in bed.  But instead of ordering room service which is $$$, we headed to the nearby store for some groceries to make a hotel room breakfast.

Don’t worry we clean everything up AND we left a fat tip, as always.  Some notes:

  • Make sure to thoroughly clean the iron and ironing board before/after use.  You can also use aluminum foil.
  • Clean out the coffee pot with soap/water – placing a paper towel over the sink to catch any leftover food particles.
  • We used Dave’s Killer Bread which I’m a big fan of – Abe was eating slices straight up the whole drive back to LA.

geniuses! did you wipe off/sanitize the iron before toasting the bread? 😉

Dave’s Killer Bread is RIDICULOUS. I rarely like wheat or whole grain breads; they’re often so dry, but Dave’s is delicious!

So good, right? I love the message behind the company, too.
