LA Zoo Lights for the Holidays

LA Zoo Lights – where to see Holidays lights at night in Griffith Park, Los Angeles.

When we first moved to Los Angeles, LADWP hosted a light show in Griffith Park during the month of December.  It was old skool, charming, and made me unbelievably happy.  After they cancelled it, we began driving through certain neighborhoods to look at the holiday decorations.  It was fun, but over the years it’s gotten bonkers.  And the traffic/being trapped in my car turned me into a Grinch.

Last year we actually planned on going with Sascha and Erin – then we checked Twitter and saw people complaining.  We decided to stay in and eat chocolate instead.

I wish we had known that a light show has returned to Griffith Park – but this time at The LA Zoo Lights.  For the second year, you can park (for free), buy tickets (timed to avoid overcrowding), and walk leisurely outdoors on a self-guided tour.  LA Zoo
