A walk around Lake Hollywood Reservoir, which is not dog-friendly.
I’ve never been to Lake Hollywood Reservoir before, mostly since I can’t bring my dog.
But also because I couldn’t find it.
Abe bikes around here all the time, so he knew the directions. We stopped by one late summer evening; you park near what looks like an abandoned entrance to a military base, behind gates. The entire reservoir is behind a long fence.
The trail is about 3 miles, which takes about an hour to walk. It is paved, so you don’t have to worry about getting dirt and rocks in your shoes. Also, there is no incline, making it perfect for those who want to run or bike on it.
I was relieved (literally) to find they have porta-potties. Those are my priorities!
To get to Lake Hollywood follow the directions to this address: 2751 Lake Hollywood Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90068. Park near the gate on the street.
