A Huckleberry Thanksgiving

dessert - holidays

Since Abe and I will be volunteering most of Thanksgiving Day, I wanted to explore take-away options for a mellow little picnic.  Huckleberry seemed like a good place to start.

Along with a full Thanksgiving dinner menu which includes traditional favorites like Turkey, Sweet Potatoes, and Stuffing, they have their famous baked goods – available in store now if you want to sample them before the 27th.

Sprinkles Ice Cream

bakeries/cafes/dessert places - dessert

They say cupcakes are going out of fashion, but you wouldn’t know it from the line that still piles up outside Sprinkles in Beverly Hills.

Of course, this particular store also has ice cream…

The above is a mini red velvet with salted caramel – a winning combo concocted by my brilliant cousins Mark/Jen.  I opted for “plain old” peanut butter cup, which contains TCHO Chocolate, but am fantasizing about the day I return for a red velvet cone or cookie sandwich.

Excuse me, how is it already Thursday?!?  If you follow my personal accounts on Instagram/Twitter you’ll see I’ve been pretty busy with work, and am still catching up from Labor Day Weekend – part of which was spent in Manhattan Beach.
