We moved! We didn’t go far – just upstairs. Abe and I have been anticipating switching apartments with our upstairs neighbors for months now. For the longest time, I have been living amongst piles. Things to pack, things to give away. Things to think about packing and giving away. It really took its toll on me, mentally, living this way. Everything was unsettled. I’m so grateful to be in our new space, with only the things we really need and love surrounding us.
I’ve been eating so many take-out salads (the one above is from Sweetgreen) for a while. I feel so bad about all the garbage we are creating!
I’m an organizing machine – buying new desks, filing cabinets, and book shelves that fit the space, our style, and our needs. Shout out to Rick at Modernism “Nest” Furniture Store in Sherman Oaks at 13641 Ventura Boulevard for helping us pick out some really beautiful pieces, at an affordable price.
I get some professional help hanging our cheap frames into a gallery wall. This cost about $50 via Task Rabbit (click for $20 off, using this affiliate link).
The setup here is pretty much the same, except there’s so much more light! Looking forward to making some YouTube videos in our new kitchen for you all.
I’ve really cleared out my closet to only basic things that I can wear often and accessorize. This black bodysuit by Madewell and these Rag and Bone Skinny Jeans are so comfortable and versatile, I buy them in different colors.
In general, I’m streamlining everything. You may already have noticed that I’m blogging a lot less frequently, spending more of my time on social media. I recently merged all my accounts to one name @mslynnchen (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest). So that’s the best place to keep in touch with what I’m up to – especially with InstaStories (I quit Snapchat). And to be notified when I post something new here, just subscribe on Bloglovin or for email updates, if you haven’t already.
