My Fall Wardrobe 2016

Even though the weather in Los Angeles is still a bit warm, I’m in full-on autumn mode.  I’m thinking of fall and all that goes along with it – namely, pumpkin everything and cozy clothes.  I’ll actually be spending next week on the East Coast, where these items are totally acceptable.  There’s an annual fall sale going on at Shopbop right now through Friday, October 14th – use promo code “MAINEVENT16” at the checkout.  The same sale is going on over at their mens’ store, East Dane, as well.  Here are the fall wardrobe items I plan on buying.

Shopbop Sale

  1. Clare V. Patchwork Clutch – I am absolutely in love with the Clare V. handbag I currently own.  All of her bags are so beautiful, well-crafted, and feel incredibly soft.  I need my clutches to be big enough to hold my phone AND my camera AND my keys AND my life.  This one is sturdy and bold, yet stylish enough to wear on the red carpet.
  2. Madewell Janice Booties – I can’t hear the name “Janice” without hearing that laugh on Friends.  I also can’t say the word “bootie” without thinking of the word “cutie.”  These are indeed adorable, and look good with everything – leggings, skirts, even wide-legged pants, because of the pointy toe.
  3. Soft Joie Nesiah Sweater – I have worn my other Joie sweater so often that it’s no longer a sweater but a sweatshirt.  This season, I think I am brave enough to start wearing white.
  4. AG The Legging Jeans – Two words: Stretch Denim.  Actually, these are SUPER-Stretch Denim, which means they’re the perfect pants for now through January, when my weight tends to fluctuate with every Holiday meal.
  5. Acne Studios Apolo Fringe Poncho – You guys.  Why didn’t anyone tell me that when you’re an adult it’s acceptable – nay, chic – to wear a blanket in public at night?  You can even belt it for a more sophisticated look, but I’m fine just wrapping myself up in effortless warmth.
