This is the snack I’ve been dreaming about my entire life.
I love Salt and Vinegar Potato Chips, but sometimes I feel like the flavor is way too strong. I don’t like opening a bag and feeling my sinuses clear up. Unless I’ve got a cold , that is not a good thing. When Trader Joe’s came out with their Pickle Popcorn last year, it was a revelation. Of course! PICKLES! The perfect flavor combination of salt and tang. I do love them with all my heart, but cucumbers get slimy, and are not portable. Finally Trader Joe’s Pickle Potato Chips are in stores, and they are pickle perfection in chip form.
The full title of the product is “Somewhat Spicy Dill Flavored Kettle Cooked Potato Chips.” Nobody is going to remember that – let’s just call them what they are: Pickle Potato Chips.
The chips themselves are thick and bubbly – with a significant amount of dill on them so there’s no false advertising. The best part about them is that they are slightly spicy – it’s a slow burn that doesn’t hit you until you’ve already shoved another chip into your mouth. By that time it’s too late; even if you can’t handle the heat, you’ve eaten the entire bag. I will definitely be layering some crunch into my sandwiches by adding this instead of (or maybe in addition to) pickles.
For more of my favorite Trader Joe’s products, check out their Pesto and Quinoa, Gluten-Free Brownies, and Spinach and Kale Greek Yogurt Dip. Also, here’s the inside scoop on what’s good from a Trader Joe’s employee. As you may know, the company is notorious for not doing any advertising. This is not, in any way, a sponsored post – I am just a raging TJ’s fan, as I’m sure most of you are too.
