This meal is hosted.
San Francisco’s celebrated pastry chef Bill Corbett is doing a vegetarian popup at LaMill Coffee – every Thursday and Friday night. Four courses for $40 ($20 more with alcohol pairings). Of course, I brought my meat-free man along for an alcohol-less date night.
First course: Mushroom Pate with Onion Marmalade, Sherry Caramel, on Grilled Bread. I don’t like liver, but I LOVED this!
Second Course: Heirloom Tomato Panzanella, Goat Cheese, and Fresh Coriander.
Third Course: Farro Risotto with Summer Vegetables, Leeks, and Lentil Croquettes. Those little balls caused quite a stir with me and Abe; one of the best vegetarian things I’ve ever eaten.
Since the two of us shared the tasting menu we ordered BOTH desserts!
German Chocolate Sundae…
….and a Lemon Blueberry situation…
Learn more about all the dishes, and what we thought of everything in my latest vlog. Let me know if you are on team lemon, remember what a Fishamajig tastes like, and are as obsessed with Pokemon Go as Abe is.
