Recap of Memorial Day Weekend 2016 – Potato Salad and Parties.
How is everybody’s Memorial Day Weekend? Mine os kinda perfect – a balance of work, play, and good food.
Saturday I climbed the steepest street in California for a Facebook Live video (a big deal for those of you who know how much I like exercise) and did some press for Parachute Girls with Emily Chang for Moviemaker Magazine.
The next two days are all about the BBQs. The first one is at the beach, where my Flag Cake is a big hit. So is my cousin Kristine Kidd’s potato salad, made with yogurt (<—click for the recipe. I can’t wait to remake this).
Monday our friends Aaron and Jessie had a party, introducing me to ribs from Hungry Pig and cheesy corn.
Next weekend is the LA Film Festival! I’ll be at the Saturday screening at Arclight Culver City and hope to see you there.
