A visit to the newly-opened Broad Museum in Downtown Los Angeles.
When we attended LA Food and Wine this year, I was struck by this building’s architecture, next to Walt Disney Concert Hall. A few weeks later, The Broad Museum opened to the public.
You have to reserve tickets (free through the end of the year); we missed the Infinity Room, which needs another reservation in-person.
But as you can see…
…there’s plenty to look at.
In the stairwell, you can spy on their storage space. It reminded me of growing up at The Metropolitan Opera House and seeing all their giant scenery, just hanging out casually. No big deal.
Otium, the museum’s restaurant isn’t open yet (I think?) but there were food trucks and spaces to eat.
