Langer’s Deli in Downtown LA

Brunch at Langer’s Deli in Downtown Los Angeles.  Potato Pancakes, Pastrami, and teeny tiny Matzo Ball Soup.

Langer’s Deli!  I finally made it!

We finally made it to the iconic deli for a Sunday brunch – our group of 8 waits patiently on line outside, then gets cozy in 2 booths.

(I even resurrected my bathroom door blog for the occasion!)

Always listen to your servers at Langer’s.  They know what’s up.  Evelyn tries to tell me the Matzo Ball Soup was small, but I don’t listen.  It’s beyond tiny…

…so I have a few bites of their famous Pastrami…

My cousin Franny contemplates ordering more potato pancakes, they are so good.

Despite parking problems and a lack of free pickles like at Canter’s Deli, we are still quite satisfied with our inaugural experience.

It kind of reminds me of Katz’s in NYC! I love matzoh ball soup…that would NOT have been enough for me!
