Grand Central Market – DTLA Cheese

Exploring Grand Central Market in Downtown Los Angeles at Night.  Plus a grilled cheese sandwich from DTLA Cheese.

If you’re in NYC, my short film Sutures premieres tonight at City Cinemas Village East.  I won’t be there (I WILL be in the Tri-State Area next week).  But I am getting a little urban adventure right here in LA.  Grand Central Market is one of my favorite places in Los Angeles – a historic food emporium – and is now open til 9pm Thursday – Saturday.

I tell Abe to go to Sticky Rice, but unfortunately they don’t have anything vegetarian…

…and a lot of other places I’ve been wanting to try are closed – Eggslut, Valerie Confections, Wexler’s Deli

…but DTLA Cheese is open!

We get a mushroom/taleggio sandwich from there.  Eating it on line for ice cream at McConnells (<—more on that in a future post).  Happy Friday!

Do let me know if you’re near Astoria!
Also, that market is curiously bizarre – NYC as done by LA/CA. Interesting. Much calmer than the market in Grand Central Station!

I don’t think we’ll be in Queens this trip – but next time I am, I definitely want to meet up!
