in bakeries/cafes/dessert places, breakfast, lunch, vegetarian

While filming The Lees of Los Angeles, I “drove” down Industrial Street many, many times, and was intrigued by Daily Dose

…as random luck would have it, just 10 days later, they invited me in to check out their space!

They’ve got traditional cafe goods…

…and fresh juices…

Feo had one of those, and I sipped on a MEM Lemon Chamomile Tea.

Even though it was breakfast time, I couldn’t resist ordering lunch…

…I’d heard a lot about “The Farmer” – back in the BVSLA research days.

Roasted Squash, Heirloom Potatoes/Tomatoes, Avocado, Housemade Veggie Patty, Pesto, and Ancho Chili Jam on Olive Bread. As phenomenal as it looks – though not vegan, as I originally Instagrammed/Tweeted – there’s burrata on it.

Also delicious was Feo’s dish – off their breakfast menu – a 3-egg omelet called “The Mona Lisa” – with sautéed spinach, re-hydrated wild mushrooms, garlic, brie, root veggies covered in sauce tomato, baguette/butter/jam, and arugula salad.

With added meat – also not vegan, obviously, but there are options if you ask the very friendly servers.
