Glazed Donut Bistro

April 12, 2014

in bakeries/cafes/dessert places, dessert, sandwich

Glazed Donut Bistro opened in West Hollywood earlier this year and invited me in for a sampling. It’s a place where you can drink alcohol/eat gourmet donuts until 2am; I came at a more reasonable hour, skipped the booze…

…and went straight for brunch.

They have Stumptown coffee too – this is Jordan’s Mexican Latte.

First, the savory – a Beignet Stuffed with Housemade Fried Chicken and maple reduction…

…followed by a Monte Cristo with Black Forest Ham, Gruyere, and jam for dipping.

Dessert Donuts followed, of course.

Tres Tres Leches, Blueberry Cardamom….

…and Mambo Italiano.

Fork/Knife skills necessary.

One last sweet ending! The Strawberry Shortcake Ice Cream Sundae – topped with Dr. Bob’s Vanilla Ice Cream, Housemade Whipped Cream, and Strawberry Compote.

Jordan and I also recorded my 30th podcast episode – be the first to hear us talk about these donuts (and much much more) if you subscribe on iTunes!

Yum! Those are some intense sandwiches! Have you tried the monte cristo at disneyland?

I can’t believe I haven’t heard of this place!
I doubt I’ll take part in the beer but the donuts look delicious. (:

I need to bookmark this place for whenever I`m in LA!! I mean, I live about an hour from Hollywood, but one day, I`m going to do a foodie day and treat myself to all of these amazing restaurants in the area!! This sounds like a must!
