Date night with Abe – long overdue…

Open Sesame is a popular Lebanese chain in Long Beach that recently opened on Beverly, near Fairfax. I won Esther’s contest and scored a $50 gift certificate (<—Angelenos – don’t forget to enter my own restaurant giveaway)!

We started with their famous fried potatoes – and were given a complimentary side of Garlic Sauce to dip them in. Don’t expect them to be crispy – expect the most deliciously seasoned home fries ever.

For our main entrees, Abe went with their Vegetarian Combo

…which included some super killer hummus/baba ghannouj.

I ordered the Open Sesame Salad – and added Chicken Tawook.

My first time eating Lebanese food (knowingly). I loved it.
