Sycamore Kitchen Food

I really love the Sycamore Kitchen pastries, but lately I’ve been going there to grab meals too.

A few weeks ago – a long-overdue ladies lunch with Jully, Elaine, and Andrea.

Sadly, this Turkey Chili was disappointing – more like lukewarm, bland tomato soup with a few chunks of meat and torn kale. FYI Lemonade makes a great version – we had takeout from there the other night with my Mom

…who I also took to Sycamore Kitchen on her last morning in Los Angeles.

She ordered the Steel cut Oatmeal/Quinoa/Barley with Cinnamon Date Butter + milk…

…I got the Wheatberries/Lentils/Barley + zahtar chicken, roasted green chilies, fried eggs.

Both redeemed that sad soup – I think I’ll just stick to breakfast and baked goods whenever I’m there.

I love their cured salmon tartine – my go to order there! Aside from the caramel pecan babka…

Lemonade finally opened their Studio City location (less than 5 minutes from where I live/work) and I’m dying to go. Sadly, the line has been down the block every day so far…
I love Sycamore Kitchen though! They’re pastries are to die for. (:

i feel like i always order breakfast food when i’m at a place that offers it mid day :P
