Mommy Does Mexican

January 17, 2014

in restaurant, salads

My mom has only eaten at one or two of the “fancy” Mexican places in NYC. And I’m sorry. Those don’t compare to what we’ve got in Los Angeles.

Loteria Grill has fancier sit-down places too (<—click for the Santa Monica one) but my favorite location is the one at The Farmer’s Market – the original – where you order and sit all casual like.

This was her first breakfast burrito. She couldn’t stop singing its praises.

I thought it was solid, and was also impressed with the salad I got – added some chicken for protein, which is already stewed in tomatoes. Kept me full all day!

I miss Loteria Grill! I used to go to the Farmer’s Market location all the time.

I have not kept up consistently with many blogs over they years. But I really enjoy the many facets of yours. I just sort of appreciate how normal it seems, no gimmicks. A mix of humor, honesty and you’ve even shared your grief. I am not even sure how I found your blog but I’ve kept reading. Not usually one to comment on blogs but just thought I would say thanks! :-) P.S. Now I am craving delicious Mexican food and warm sunshine!
