Tis the Seasoned Salt

If you’re looking to O.D. on The Christmas Spirit, get thee to The Tam O’Shanter

…I’ve been waiting all month for this!

Abe’s actually been here a few times without me, and knew it would be the perfect place to bring me to get Holidazed.

The menu has everything from Toad in the Hole to Roasted English Goose…

…we split a few vegetarian sides – Mac n Cheese…

…Tempura Green Beans with Aioli…

…and the Holiday Salad, without blue cheese.

Everything was yummy, especially doused in their Seasoned Salt

…I even ate it with the bread!

To finish, my new favorite dessert…

…Sticky Toffee Pudding. Sweet but not too rich, and served warm – with a perfect crust surrounding a gooey (but not mushy) filling.

As if that wasn’t awesome enough, there were Christmas Carolers singing my request.

Definitely a new Eve of Christmas Eve tradition.

Have not had Lowry’s Season Salt in forever. My mother used it a lot. Salt plus sugar with a little garlic and paprika for kick = yum. Some debate if msg is part of its magic. Not sure, but that could explain its vexing deliciousness where you want to pour it on everything. Btw…I am not and anti-msg person. In the end it is just salt…a special make everything yummy salt, but just salt.

A Merry Christmas…Happy Holidays…Happy Kwanzaa…Happy Chanukah…Winter Solstice…to you and yours! :)

@Cindy there is no msg in the seasoning salts, it’s the combo of sugar n salt that make it so great. They used to use msg in some salad dressing sold by Lawry’s but that came out of the recipe years ago I think.
