Pacific Soup Time

soup/stew - vegan

Even though we were only on the east coast for a second, I’m having trouble readjusting to Pacific Time. Awake at 5am, ready to devour Farmers Market samples at 9am.

Along with a whole bunch of berries + apples, I also ate/bought grapes, pears, citrus, persimmons…

…and a hunk of Rye from Breadbar.

When making yesterday’s Christmas Kale Salad, I didn’t throw out the stems – saved them for a soup made by sautéing them in olive oil with a red onion, garlic, handful of Dried French Herbs, and can of Veggie Stock…

…then pureeing in the Blendtec til smooth.
