Dog Day Afternoon

August 27, 2013

in dinner, dogs, salads, vegan

I had to get Julius outa the house for a few hours yesterday, so after eating half a ginormous melon, Breakfast (or Lunch) was taken to go…

(these Kellogg’s shakes taste EXACTLY like the Nesquik Powder I grew up with)

…and we visited Tanuj at his new office.

Field trip to The Farmers Market – I didn’t have any Fritzi Dog, but was very impressed with the presentation on Tanuj’s order – the paper wrapper had a “clasp!”

Back home, I made a vegetarian dog for dinner, in salad form…

…these Field Roast Vegetarian Frankfurters are a Chenwald staple – Abe loves ‘em.

Also in there – Rick’s Picks Pickles, Cherry Farmer’s Market Tomatoes, a drizzle of Balsamic Glaze, and Smoked Sea Salt sprinkled on top.

Finished off the other half of Sunday’s snack - a dried date hopped along for the ride…

…and around 10pm, we visited Ramekin for some ice cream.

I had a couple samples before deciding on a scoop of Caramel (and a taste of Green Tea, too).

Just found out Monday was National Dog Day – Ha!

I’m not a big hot dog person, but that place looks fun!
