There is an army of us on vacation and we’re each taking turns cooking. Abe and I are on duty tonight, so we got to the grocery store early to beat Lake Tahoe traffic – shared these roasted almonds and a banana en route…
…then came back to the Kitchen of Wonders and played with all the toys!!!
A KitchenAid feels a bit extravagant for boxed brownies, but I still had a blast.
Didn’t eat those, but I have been taste testing this side dish – basically 2.5 cups quinoa sauteed in butter, then added 5 cups water, 2.5 tablespoons salt, and this dressing made from mustard, olive oil, lemon juice/zest, and Citrus Basil Seasoning.
I also chopped up 2 bags of dried figs and plumped them up in hot water for 5 minutes…
…drained, mixed, and shoved in the fridge for now.
…last thing on the menu – Giada de Laurentiis’ Ligurian Fish Stew; taking a little snack break – loving the view!
