Brunch at Green Eggs Cafe in Philadelphia, PA.
Bawled like a baby as we left my childhood home in NJ for the last time. But we made it to Philadelphia. I feared 4th of July traffic would be crazy, but we had great luck. I shared half a Blueberry Muffin Larabar with Abe – didn’t want to spoil my appetite for brunch especially since portions at Green Eggs Cafe are humongous.
The menu looked incredible, but it was so hot I just wanted a Chicken Cobb Salad (ordered without bacon/cheese)…
…I was so busy taking pictures (and eating off of) everyone else’s plates that I forgot to snap a photo.
I CAN tell you my salad was really delicious, though, as was this bite of Abe’s veggie burger…
…and his sister Anna’s fries.
Afterwards, we cooled off at Metro Mens Clothing where they are super nice, have awesome stuff, AND serve complimentary cocktails!
I didn’t drink anything, but I did pick up this Phillies tank top.
For dinner – an indoor picnic – mini pumpernickel sandwiches, crab/tuna salads, turkey, baba ganoush, mozzarella, tomato, and avocado.
Two plates and a lot of fruit for dessert.
We’re off to the Barnes Foundation – I hear there are no cameras allowed so probably no photos of that, either!
