Aloha Cafe in DTLA

Lots to see on Tuesday…

…I swung by Larchmont Bungalow in the morning to see Elise (and her boys!!!) – then drove downtown to Aloha Cafe.

We both ordered breakfast – french toast for me…

…and eggs/rice/Hawaiian Bread + Portuguese Sausage for Koji.

My dish was so good! Fluffy, eggy perfection.

Afterwards, I walked to Poketo to visit Ted/Angie, met up with Sam, said hi to John, drove to get the car washed, came home, ate 3/4 of a giant honeydew, and packed a snack to see Jurassic Park in 3-D.

Balance Bar sent samples from their new Dark Chocolate Line to try…

Fun seeing dinosaurs again – the movie held up after all these years – I remember seeing it in high school at my first midnight screening <—still can’t believe my parents let me go.

Dark Chocolate Peanut, of course! One of my all-time favorite flavor combos.

Shucks, I was trying to delete that previous comment since I just realized I had to answer about the chocolate bars. I love dark chocolate so any of those flavors would be fun! I think I’d have to choose dark chocolate crunch though! I love chocolate!

I’ve been obsessed with coconut lately – using coconut oil for cooking and Skincare, not to mention leftover Passover macaroons, so I would lovetk try the dark chocolate coconut flavor – amazing!

As soon as I saw that picture with the cans of Hawaiian Sun, I got so excited! I’m from Hawaii (now living in LA) and it’s hard to find Hawaii food nearby. Usually I can go to Marukai and buy stuff, but I’m generally too lazy to cook so I think I will need to check out Aloha Cafe. I’m curious what other kinds of Hawaii food do they serve there! Thanks for sharing 🙂

By the way, the Dark Chocolate Crunch bar Balance bar sounds amazing. Well, I’d stuff my face and eat ’em all. I’d just eat the dark chocolate crunch one first most likely lol
