Ah…the good life.

Jenn and I went to Bon Vivant yesterday afternoon in Atwater Village.

Part gourmet market…

…bar…

…restaurant…

…and bakery!

Finally got to meet the talented Kirby from Friandise Pastries, whose delicious sweets I’ve blogged about before.

Ordered a ginormous slice of her famous Toasted Marshmallow…

…layers of dark chocolate in between.

Huge cup of chamomile, which the very sweet Gina refilled.

The service couldn’t have been more friendly and warm!

They also have an extensive savory menu – here’s Jenn’s sandwich.

Melon + a movie back at theme – perfect end to the week. Really happy to report I haven’t had the blues again for a little while now.

Toasted Marshmallow?! Ugh, I love it!
Gotta go change my shirt. I drooled all over it staring at that cake. Oh my!
Yay for blue-less days. Doing my own little happy dance to celebrate with you.
I try to relish the good times when they visit. Not because I’ve seen the worst of things and now I have such a positive outlook, but because I know the shit can blindside you at any moment. Good days are great…like eating a delicious chocolate cake. Every bite is to be savored. Glad you are having good days.
Thank you Cindy!
Ah! I was dying when I saw the picture of that cake on your instagram yesterday- now I know what it is and where to get it. Dangerous! It looks like you ladies had a lovely day together. I’m glad you’re feeling better this week. <3
We must go sometime next month when I’m back from traveling! I hope you’re doing okay too dear.
That place looks like so much fun to eat at.
