Back in 2009, when The Actor’s Diet was only a few weeks old, I was in the midst of promoting my movie White on Rice. I “met” Todd and Diane, aka White on Rice Couple and was instantly smitten by their food blog, which kept popping up in all my google searches; over the years we have connected virtually (they even donated the Thick Dumpling Skin photographs we still use) but it wasn’t until almost 4 years later that we finally connected in person.

Todd and Diane hosted a “White Party” at the Thermador showroom in Irvine. Carpooled with Amy all dressed in leftovers from my tour with E.D. Sedgwick.

We nibbled and noshed the night away on food prepared by Thermador’s chef Kyle Jakobi.

Scallops with Mango Salsa…

…Fried Calamari Salad…

…and seared Tenderloin.

Had two servings of all the above, plus double samplers of the cheese plate…

…with crackers, jam, and pistachios/dried apricots.

That’s Ahi Poke and Spring Rolls you also see!

After noshing and meeting a whole bunch of bloggers, I made my way to the dessert table.

MMMMMM! Homemade marshmallow, coconut macaroon, and chocolate truffle.

Thanks so much for the yummy evening, Todd, Diane, Thermador…

…and Amy!
