When Abe and I first moved to Los Angeles, we ate at Loteria all the time. When they opened their first upscale restaurant in 2008, we were the first ones there. And when Eboni arrived the other day, I took her to the stand at the Farmer’s Market. Kinda strange that this is my first time blogging about this place!

Met up with Abe’s folks and Cousin Kristine at the Santa Monica location, right on the Promenade.

Oh, and Atticus was there too!

Was feeling my Buddha’s Belly from the previous evening – I just ordered a smaller portion of the Caldo de Camaron – still a nice size.

Shrimp and Vegetables in a Guajillo-infused Broth…

…with Fresh Avocado (I gave Wendy half), Onion, Cilantro, and White Rice.

Look how cute David’s Probaditas was! 12 bite-size portions of their signature tacos.

Kristine ordered from their Gluten-Free Menu…

…as you can see, she snapped a photo so I’m sure she’ll be blogging about that soon.

Back home – half a humongous honeydew…

…followed by a late-night screener, ice cream…

…and a couple packs of Japanese Rice Crackers.

Happy Friday!
