
Takeout from Buddha’s Belly. Abe and I used to go here all the time when we first moved to Los Angeles, but not since I began blogging! This was from the Santa Monica location.

We shared/demolished the Peanut Noodles with celery, shrooms, edamame (tofu instead of chicken)…

…and a Chopped Veggie Salad with shitake, fried tofu, corn, yamagobo – 2/3 of the sesame dressing.

Also snagged a few pieces of their eggplant appetizer, cooked in sweet saikyo miso and roasted white sesame seeds…

…a bite of David’s Teriyaki Salmon…

…and one of Maya’s fried dumplings with blue crab, green onion, and cream cheese.

Dessert was my muffins! I’m calling them “Biscuffins” because they tasted like biscuits.

Served with Biscoff Spread, aka Speculoos, aka Cookie butter.


I had one…

…with a bunch of McConnell’s Ice Cream…

…Island Coconut, Dutch Chocolate, Peppermint Stick…

…seconds on the latter.

Still pretty full, but I’m heading back west for more yumminess!

Everything about the meal sounds spectacular!!! I would have loved the noodles and salad mixed up in my bowl
