I’ve always loved garbanzos. For a while I called them “chic peas” because I felt they were in a class of their own, above all other beans. Apparently, I’m not the only one inspired by them.

The Good Bean makes bars and snacks out of roasted chickpeas and sent a bunch of samples to try. Happy to report they are delicious!

Opened the Apricot Coconut between visits to Hourie and Melanie…

…and used the Cracked Pepper for extra crunch in dinner.

This was Mori-Nu Extra Firm Silken Tofu that I pressed…

…then marinated in extra Thai Takeout Sauce.

Mixed with Trader Joe’s Frozen Kale, and Forbidden Rice – ding donged til warm.

No beans in this Peanut Butter Georgetown Cupcake, but it was also gluten-free!

Before bed I opened a bag of their sweet variety to nosh on with frozen grapes.

Think I’m turning into a chickpea.

The snacks look like they’re vegan (yay, would love to try those eventually) even though the bars contain dairy. What a cool snack concept!
Ooh, thanks for the link, Lynn. I adore chick peas! I always have. Can’t wait to check out those yummy snacks!
ooh I want to try these! Some bars have chickpeas for snacks instead of nuts and I can’t stop eating them!
Ugh. I love chickpeas… but they don’t love me back. It’s pretty depressing! Those treats look very good, though
I love chickpeas, so I’m totally going to have to look for these next time I go shopping!
