Grub was the perfect place to go for a last-minute dinner yesterday – easy parking, no reservation required, and super cozy.

Black Cat Bakery’s Multigrain Pancakes were still sitting in my stomach so I skipped the complimentary pretzels/veggies/dip…

…and ordered an appetizer portion of the beets salad.

Surrounded by mac and cheese!

Sam’s Buffalo Chicken with Gorgonzola…

…John’s Chorizo…

…and Abe’s regular.

Tried a forkful of each – all three were very distinct (Sam’s was the overall fave).

Scored us a free sweet to end the meal…

…and got upgraded to a Chocolate Sandwich!

(No crack bacon.)

Libby told me they’re adding some new NOLA-inspired menu items next week – they sound insane-in-the-membrane-good. As you may remember, my heart (and stomach) are always in The Big Easy. Can’t wait to grub some more soon – funny enough, Mardi Gras is also International Pancake Day. I’ll try not to fill up again beforehand!

I love reading about new places to try! Can’t believe I have never heard of this place! The dessert looks deadly delicious!
Grubs has been on my list of places to try for some time. Excellent reminder to find a group of friends and make it a night out (or… the beginning of a night!).
