Took my first Vine video last night of Melanie’s dog, then she took me out for dinner at Prado!

We split the bread basket…

…and these baby empanadas, stuffed with chicken, veggies, and cheese.

A lot of sauce dipping! One was a mango relish, but I’m not sure what the green/brown ones were.

Ordered my usual, the Caribbean Cobb (which for some reason, was much smaller and not as tasty as usual)…

…traded bites with Melanie’s Vegetables and Grains dish – some of the tamale + fried plantain.

No time for dessert; motored on up the street to the Comedy Central Stage for Randall’s show with Marques Ray (and yes, Harry Shum Jr. from Glee)…

…I came home with a prop…

…which made an excellent cocoa coaster!

Are you on Vine? Not sure how I feel about it yet; not love at first use, as with Instagram and Twitter…I think video apps (like Mobli) are great in theory but require a bit too long to upload sometimes.

Love your foodie adventures!! Next time I’ve ever in the Los Angeles area, I’ll have to stop by the places you’ve been too!
As for the hot cocoa, have you ever tried warming milk (you can use any milk of your choice) and dropping in bits and pieces of your favorite chocolate and just let it melt and then stir? I like it because it’s definitely not too sweet but it hits the spot if you ever want a chocolate fix.
The veggies and grains dish looks good (I have never tried a tamale, but I think they look really intriguing!) but I have to agree that the salad looks uninspired. I haven’t been to a comedy show in a while, I should go again!
