Post-binge day…stay cool.

I had that entire melon. And did only what I wanted to do…

…even if Julius didn’t like it.

…with chocolate. Essentially, Trader Joe’s mix + 1/2 bacon grease 1/2 oil + bar cut into chunks.

Brought to Felita. A yummy, gooey hunk was eaten en route back home in traffic.

TJ’s did me well yesterday – miso…

…and the sweetest berries ever!

Thank you for your support yesterday. I cried a ton for the first time in weeks.

Maybe you needed a binge to allow yourself the good long cry, which was probably what you needed all along. XX
Hi Lynn,
I think the last time I submitted anything to you was back in late 2011, when you published a creative nonfiction piece that I had written for Thick Dumpling Skin. I’m not sure if you remember me, but I wanted to let you know that you have continually remained an inspiration for me and a lot of my friends who read Thick Dumpling Skin; we read it because we find a kindred spirit in the emotions, the struggles, the joys and sadness behind the words.
Having a day like that where you gave into your emotions and kind of reached for old habits is something that is probably very normal; and I just wanted to say that sharing it (and freely realizing that it was a binge and acknowledging it on TDS) is not some sign of weakness, but rather, a sign of strength, of growth, of introspection, of being human. Thank you for sharing.
Xo pearl!!!!

Hi, I just discovered your blog and really enjoy it! I read earlier about some friends of yours who started an online business for healthy foods like nut butters, etc. Can you please share the website name? Thanks!
