I went aftershave shopping earlier this week. Abe asked me to pick him up some – since I’m the one who has to smell him, I should be the one to choose. Sounds simple, right?

Decided to hit the Sephora at Americana at Brand, figuring I could do nothing but sniff samples…

…brought Joy along with me, for company (and an extra set of nostrils – mine were still a little stuffed up from the flu)…

…we looked at many, many bottles, most of which weren’t aftershave. It was kinda confusing. Between us, we have three academic degrees. Why was this so difficult?!?

We stopped by Kiehls, and I got a lecture from the facialist about why my husband shouldn’t be using aftershave and needed to commit to a good moisturizing routine instead. #NotGonnaHappen.

We went here, where I figured there MUST be options…

…and there were…

…but ultimately, I went back to Sephora and bought this $50 bottle – it was only $10 more than all the options at The Art of Shaving (and seemed larger).

I mean, C’MON – it’s Chanel! Dude looks a little outa place next to all the drugstore products in the bathroom cabinet, but it’ll last a loooong time.

What a coincidence! I was thinking of getting my husband shaving cream and so many people kept telling me that it’s the after shave that’s important. But he won’t do aftershave so good shaving cream it is. I read that the Body Shop has good ones to offer so will have to check it out. Did Abe like the aftershave you chose? Just curious.
Yes he did!
I like the way you think! She who smells picks the potion!
I love Bleu de Chanel… nice and fresh, and kind of citrus-y. I actually know a few people who have bought it for their husbands! I hope Abe enjoys it, too.
Spaggio used Bay Rum! Smell like man and not squirrel.
He buys it here: http://www.barbershopclub.com/web.me.com_woodylovell_Site_barbershopclub.html/gift_%26_store.html
