What an awesome giveaway.
I only make smoothies in my blender.. 1 banana, 1 cup of yogurt, 1 cup of milk, 2 cups of frozen strawberries, a bunch of blueberries and a ton of ice. This usually makes enough for 3-4 smoothies – my daughter likes freezing it and taking it to school for her and her friends.

Reply

1tbsp Matcha green tea powder, handful each of wheat grass, parsley, and cilantro, some spinach, 1tbsp chia seeds soaked in about 3/4 cup H20, 1/2 tbsp each of coconut oil, oat bran and flax meal, blended up with 1/2 a frozen banana. Also don’t forget the yogurt and some supplemental ice cubes! :) Such yummy greeness and will keep you full all morning, or afternoon! As this was the main act of my lunch today. Especially great topped with some granola (quinoa, mango coconut dream granola!), chopped dates and prunes and a dollop of crunchy peanut butter! Unfortunately, I have to blend this in a very specific order. My blender has trouble with the greens. It’s older than I am though! :)

Well. I basically need this because when I tried to make almond butter as a gift for christmas (2011), it burned out the motor of my blender and I have been blender free ever since.
I use my immersion blender to make bean dips (white beans, olive oil, and lemon). I also used to love making smoothies for breakfast (frozen berries, amazing greens chocolate powder, banana, spinach, coco milk and maca powder.. if i needed a pick me up, i’d add some instant coffee powder or chocolate chips!). As a topper for these smoothies, I always added granola or did a little “shell” by melting coconut butter and pouring it on top – mmmm! I miss these!!

This is a crazy giveaway!

My new favorite thing with a blender: whirrrr whole peeled satsuma tangerines into a pulpy juice, pour into a pot and reduce with sugar and blanched peels… turns into a wonderful orange marmalade! (Sure the recipe is not done entirely in a blender, but the use of a blender was mind-blowing when I first saw it happen!)

Ohh what an awesome giveaway! I love smoothies, and here is my favorite one: 1/2 cup frozen blackberries, 1/2 frozen strawberries, 1/3 of a small avocado, 1/2 cup plain yogurt, dash of vanilla extract, and water to taste (I dont add too much water as I like mine thick!).
You can add sweetener if you like, and also protein powder if you want. And if using fresh fruit add a bit of crushed ice for a thicker texture!
Pretty simple but oh so good, it is my favorite smoothie of all times, and would be perfectly smooth blended in a blendtec :-)

Making the actor’s diet even more awesome =) I like to blend a can of whole san marzano tomatoes with about 10 cloves of garlic (i love it!) and a can half can a water with a ton of fresh basil, salt, pepper, and a teaspoon of sugar…simmer on the stove with a big pat of butter for 30 minutes. Makes most excellent sauce for just about anything =)
