New Year’s Brunch was a blast! I was so busy I didn’t stop to snap pix of the people…luckily some of my friends did.

Started off the day with a piece of the Root Beer Float Cake (which everyone loved)…

…set up the house, including a sweets station…

…and arrived at Whole Foods bright n early, before it even opened!

The party platters I won were delicious + beautiful – highly recommend – the Mediterranean, Grilled Veggies…

…and Bruschetta.

Not so impressive was the Bagel Platter, which was almost more expensive than the guys above…I wound up having to bulk it up/replate with our own egg salad, additional cream cheese, and tomatoes/cuke. (They also skipped the butter/cutting them, and I had to return twice because they forgot half of them.)

Friends brought dishes to share – frittata, quiche…

…Paris Baguette Tarts, Canter’s Chocolate Chip Rugelach…

…Chicken Pasta Salad…

…donuts…

…Jalapeño Corn Muffins…

…and Huevos Rancheros ones too!

I nibbled away for five hours…

mostly on desserts…

…then cleaned, packed up A LOT of leftovers…

…and baked! More on that tasty tidbit later…

…a wonderful start to 2013!
