Parlez-Vous La Conversation Cafe?

The charming La Conversation Cafe in West Hollywood, Los Angeles with actress Samantha Quan.

Late afternoon tea date at La Conversation Cafe…

We kinda fell in love with this place…

…and their delicious pastries (the regular menu looks wonderful too).

Order a Lemon Bar and Raspberry Almond Tart…

…plus a Gouger…

…a.k.a. Puff Pastry with Gruyere Cheese (no sugar or salt).

C’est delicieux, especially smothered in jam.  You might think it’s weird to put jam on cheese bread, but it isn’t.  Just think of a Monte Cristo sandwich!

Back to those sweets…

…I definitely enjoy my share!

That cafe is so cute (and I’m dressed as little French Madeline today)! I need to check it out.

Clue is one of my all-time faves. We may bust it out this week.

Yep, no scary movies for me. I’m actually relieved when Halloween is over so I don’t have to duck and dodge the horror movies and previews of horror movies.

Hi, Lynn! Could you share your recipe for miso soup? I always buy the little packets, but it’s kind of pricey. And have you ever tried making it with garbanzo or some other type of miso besides soy?

    Thanks!
