My First Pie

As a Clean Plate Club blogger, Stonyfield sends me a ton of free yogurt.


This morning I cracked open a complimentary container of their Black Cherry, and topped it with the last of the Caramel Popcorners.



Then, I made my very first pie! Inspired by The Realistic Nutritionist’s recipe, who adapted her’s from Eat Live Run.


Used the Chocolate Underground flavor…


…and a ready-made crust. (This was my first attempt at pie – I had to keep it easy!)


The original recipes call for a 30-35 minute baking time, which results in a cheesecake-like texture…


…unfortunately, I was gabbing on the phone with Christy and didn’t hear the alarm go off, so it baked almost double that time.


Well, we’ll see how the ladies of book club like it tonight!!!


Chocolate Yogurt Pie


  • 1 Ready-made Graham Cracker Crust
  • 2 6 oz. Containers Chocolate Nonfat Yogurt (I used Stonyfield)
  • 2/3 cup Turbinado Sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • Pinch of salt
  • 2 teaspoons Vanilla
  • 3 Tablespoons Cornstarch


Combine the yogurt, eggs and sugar in a large bowl.

Add vanilla, cornstarch, and salt and mix well.

Pour mixture into a ready-made Graham Cracker shell.

Bake for 45-55 minutes, until the filling is set.

Chill in the fridge before serving.

    I automatically associate “book club” with Nice Girls Crew so I envisioned you guys munching on pie, sipping tea and ‘interpreting’ the week’s literary selection =)
