Founding Farmers

restaurant - salads

Just had dinner at Founding Farmers, which was recommended to me by multiple DC-area readers…

…happy to say the experience was wonderful!

I was dining with my cousin Hannah – we split the Fried Green Tomato Appetizer…

…Cornmeal Batter…

…Herb Goat Cheese and Green Goddess Dip…

I also ordered an entree-size portion of the Many Vegetable Salad…

….Cannelini Beans, Beets, Asparagus, Grapes, Hard Boiled Egg, Nuts, and Champagne Vinaigrette.

I had half of that, and the buttery crouton that came with…

…also a bite of Hannah’s perfect fish…

…and chips!

I didn’t drink her beer, but FYI one comes for free with that entree!

I have either heard really good things about FF or really bad things. I still am dying to try it. So glad you loved it!

I grew up in D.C. and I LOVE Founding Farmers! My favorite part is their popcorn of the day :)

I’m from DC and have heard Founding Farmers has pretty good food but their local shtick is b.s.- all of their stuff is from corporate farms in California. Disappointing. For delicious baked goods in DC, you must try Baked and Wired in Georgetown. For dinner, if you want to be adventurous, get Ethiopian food- it’s our thing. You eat it with your hands and the delicious bread they give you and it’s so fun. Anything on the U street corridor will treat you right. If you like fish, Tackle Box is all sustainable AND delicious AND it has the most fun, casual vibe.
