Fashion and Food Tests

Remember this showstopper that I wore for the photo shoot with Robert Dahey?

The designer, Michelle Hebert, is dressing me for the next San Diego Asian Film Festival!

We took some measurements…

…looked through her gorgeous sketches…

…and then I made her my guinea pig.

Testing out a recipe for Sunday’s LA Blogger Brunch…

…Bagel Bread Pudding Muffins!

Quick custard – about 1.25 cups Almond Milk, 3 eggs, 1/3 cup brown sugar, dash of salt…

…and 4-5 chopped Montreal Bagels.

Let that soak for 5 minutes, then pour into well-sprayed muffin tins…

…bake at 350 for 25 minutes…

…leave in the pan for 5, then remove onto a wire rack until cool.

Michelle liked them – unfortunately Julius did too – he stole one off her plate!!!

None for me – I’ll try them tonight before the Fiona Apple Concert at The Greek Theater (which is where Sunday’s meetup will be, FYI)…

…still pretty stuffed from last night’s book club, so I did the ‘dew!

P.S. You can see both Robert’s beautiful work on his website now!

those muffins look mind blowing! What a clever idea. I’ll take mine with creamy lox spread on the side!

The dress looks amazing on you!!! I’m so excited for Boston Fashion Week – I’m walking in three shows (in four days…and I also have my first paper of the semester due then…) the week after next. I can’t wait to see what I get to wear!

Wow, Can’t wait to try those bread pudding cups, they are adorable for a girlie brunch, and my pals and I do lots of those! Especially as we are gearing up for Christmas, we are all trying to pinch a penny or two and host small gatherings instead of going out~ thanks for the munchie inspiration! Made your yogurt cake this week and it was a HIT!
