Power Bouchon Lunch – Beverly Hills

Bouchon Lunch in Los Angeles with my foodie Godmother, Felita Shen Wong.

I often call Felita my fabulous food buddy – she’s kept me filled up on Rockenwagner during Nice Girls Crew, introduced me to my favorite Curry Sauce, and hooked me up with Madame Wu and Wolfgang Puck. This afternoon, she took me out for a Bouchon lunch!

How hot is this lady…

…and her french onion soup?!?

The cheese is the best part of a French Onion Soup, as far as I’m concerned.  While Felita gets to work on that, and her Beet, Leek, and Goat Cheese Salade…

…I tear off a piece of Bouchon’s incredible bread…

…and dunk it into that beefy, cheesy goodness!  I love French Onion Soup so much but unfortunately it doesn’t love me (my stomach, mostly) back.

I’m in the mood for something sweet, so I order something off the menu…

…from the bakery downstairs.  Sidebar: it’s one of my favorite places to pick up something decadent as a gift.  Do not miss their Kouign Amann!

Of course, it’s as perfect as blueberry muffins get.  Sturdy and firm top with sugar bits, and a moist but light interior.

Eaten with a nice, hot cup of chamomile.

This is how you power lunch in Beverly Hills!

Catching up today on this week’s posts. I was in the hospital all week and I think the worst of it was not seeing Moseby and not reading your posts each day. Ending on French Onion soup seems perfect, however.

I hope you are hanging in as much as you can in the roller coaster that grief puts us on. Thinking of you. XX

I’m okay. Complications from a test (mylogram) done on Friday. Not life threatening, but pretty freaking miserable. Worst headache I’ve ever known x10. Much much better tonight. Thx!

Oh I want to eat there so badly! And that french onion soup looks so delicious!
