Labor Day was really relaxing!

Started the morning off with melon, and in an effort not to repeat another $$$$ popcorn meal, I ate some snacks pre-movie matinee – raw almonds and Twizzlers (<—yes, they’re from Halloween).

We went to check out the newly renovated Sunset 5!

I can’t believe this is the same theater where White on Rice and The People I’ve Slept With premiered…

…it reminded me a lot of when I went to Sundance (we were always resting on big, comfy chairs) plus there was a SWAG bag too!

Good thing I ate beforehand…their fancy schmancy concessions were very tempting…

…I still wound up paying $5 for a Diet Coke with a busted straw.

Aside from the bar area, there are tables in the theater if you want to eat while you watch.

My one problem with the renovation is that all the aisle seats are for singles…that’s my area of choice, since I always have to pee, and I rarely go to see films by myself.

The documentary we saw, Searching for Sugar Man, was incredible, by the way.
Back home, my own Sugar Man made me a delicious dinner.

Blistered Cherry Tomatoes inspired by Paul…

…with a TJ’s veggie burger, ricotta cheese, greens, and Habanero Ketchup…

…on Ezekiel’s new Flax Seed Bread.

Sugar, Man!

Between layers of Mint Chocolate Chip Ice Cream – Oikos Honey Greek FroYo.

Hope your Labor Day weekend was equally sweet.

I can’t wait to get back to LA to check out the new Sundance theatre! Every time I go to Veggie Grill I try to catch a glimpse of the progress. Thanks for the sneak peek!
