Today was the day I was going to fly home originally – my Dad was supposed to already be home from the hospital, but he’s still in the ICU…

The kiddies kept our spirits up as they feasted on snacks all morning…

…I didn’t get hungry until around 3 or 4pm. Luckily, one of my amazing Aunts (Ants) made and brought us lunch again.

Beef curry and potato (spices from Istanbul!), bok choy, tofu with pork, and some fried rice…

…followed by some really hopeful news from the doctors. My brother came back to be with my mother and I. The three of us tackled more leftovers…

…and my mom made a delicious chicken soup with cauliflower and tomato.

Filled my bowl with fried rice…

…topped off with more curry, tofu/bamboo…

…and some pound cake/grapes for dessert.

As the thunder and lightning came down and I sat at my father’s desk, a tremendous sense of relief and peace washed over me…

…thank you everyone for your continued support and love.
