After dim sum, we continued our tour of San Gabriel and drove over to The Square, a.k.a. The Great Mall of China. Stopped into Aji Ichiban for some treats…

…can’t believe I still had an appetite for all these samples!

Most of them were a bit too stringent for my tastes; I wound up playing it safe and bought some dried mango (<—went straight into my mouth before I even left the store).

They (very smartly) do NOT offer any freebies of the more traditional sour/gummy candy.

Tried a couple of the banana, coconut, and chocolate covered gummy bears. Meh.

More munchies waiting at home!

NatureBox is a delivery service with healthier alternatives for snacking.

They sent me a one-month box, and here’s July’s curated goodies!

Abe ate some of the “Garden Tomato Crunchies” and loved them, but I’m saving the flavored almonds for another time. Had more candy and a cup of miso throughout the rest of Saturday, but 24 hours later, I’m STILL feeling the wrath of all that dim sum!

I can go nuts inside Aji Ichiban. I love the dried shrimp and sardine snacks.

Thanks Lindsay!
I really want to hang out with you Lynn
The feeling is highly mutual my dear.
this store looks so cool! i love going to bulk food stores, especially for the freshly made natural peanut butter
As a long time reader it is so nice to be reading again. I fell off the The Actors Diet for awhile accidentally as I just got caught up in life and I started reading again a few weeks ago and love it. If I am every back in LA, which is where I am from, but I am living in New Zealand it would be amazing to catch up and I would love to try some one of those shaved ice concoctions.
Welcome back Natalie!
