Crazy Train

July 13, 2012

in dinner, recipe, vegetarian

While dropping off donations at Goodwill, I went thrifting!

Got a pie pan (I’ve never actually baked one!) and a “new” plate.

Last of the yogurt – cake

…and frozen chocolate.

Put the Pyrex to work for dinner – Crazy Strata!!! First, a little spray…

IMG_7146

Chopped up mini buns from TJ’s that were in the freezer…

(That ain’t peanut butter.)

Should’ve mixed the “Cheddar Spread” BEFORE i poured the custard mixture in (3/4 cups egg whites, 3/4 cups Almond Milk, 1 tsp. salt). Got a whisk and worked it on in there.

This mixture sat in the fridge for a few hours til Abe got back from work. A bit blah-looking, so I went crazy with the dried dill.

350 for 40 minutes…

…cut into thirds. One for me, one for Abe, one for leftovers.

This Crazy Strata was craaaaazy good! I think it has everything to do with the airy texture of the buns, plus the creamy “cheese.”

Japanese KitKat and a big bunch of grapes for dessert…

IMG_7205

…crazy flavor (Blueberry Cheesecake) was awesome. (I ate the other piece in the background, plus the rest of the grapes in the container too.)

Aaaand, one more thing before bed…

I’m crazy about those We Can’t Say It’s Cheese spreads. They’re so smooth and delicious, and it’s amazing that they’re made from oatmeal. Who would have guessed it? My favorite is the hickory-smoked cheddar. It reminds me of those cheese balls that people served at holiday parties in the eighties.

The bread pudding “Strata” looks amazing. Kinda reminds me of my cornbread casserole, but your recipe, I’m sure is tons healthier!

What is the happiest is that I see you. I like you and to talk to you what I want to say. My English isn’t very good. I hope that you can know what I say.
