There may have to be another wedding ceremony…

…I’ve fallen in love!

I’ve been wanting to try Montreal-style bagels FOREVER. Crisp on the outside, dense and chewy on the inside. They have them now in Philly, at a place called Spread.

I was feeling a bit under the weather stomach-wise so I pocketed some for later and grabbed a couple plums from the fruit bowl too.

Sadly, we had a flight to catch, so we left David/Wendy’s post-wedding brunch just as it started…

…but Dr. Z was in the house…

…and by the time we got to the airport, I was feeling a lot better!

All my favorite Philly treats were available…

…but all I could think about was eating this guy. Wolfed him down before takeoff and nearly fainted from sheer delight…

…I thought it was a Cinnamon Raisin, but IT WAS CHOCOLATE CHIP!!! One of the best bagel experiences of my life, and there wasn’t a thing on it.

Don’t worry, Abe’s not jealous. He thinks these dough rings are proposal-worthy as well. Thank goodness we have 2 more packed in our suitcases!

Oh I’m a HUGE bagel fan and I can’t live without bagels. In college it was pretty much my main source of nutrients (maybe exaggerated a bit). I didn’t know about Montreal style bagel and I have to remember. I also made mistake for cinnamon raisin (my most fav) with chocolate chips. My kids were so happy eating choco chip one since I rarely get the choco one for kids. =P

Oh yums..I’ve never been a big fan of bagels..they can be a bit too tough. But this one sounds delish. Soft and chewy on the inside? YES PLEASE!~!!

I was just in Philly last weekend – it’s my hometown! I’ll be trying one of those bagels on my next visit!
