So, I’m kinda related to one of the greatest actors of all time now. No biggie.

Abe’s cousin Kristine Kidd, whose delicious food you’ve seen featured all over this blog and my Facebook Page, got married last night to Stephen Peck. Here I am with the groom!

After the ceremony, we feasted on guacamole + every type of salsa imaginable…

…some of the chips were chewy, like the ones at Malo!

Also devoured one of each passed hors d’oeuvres – Zucchini Blossom and Mushroom Quesadillas…

…Mahi Mahi Ceviche….

…and Chayote + Potato Tortilla (<—my favorite one)

A Mexican-themed menu, catered by A Seasonal Table.

Spinach, Jicama, Radish and Orange Salad with candied nuts…

…Enchilada Suiza stuffed with Swiss Chard, Butternut Squash, Cheese, and Tomatillo Sauce + Black Beans with Cheese…

…Turkey Mole (Rick Bayless’ recipe)…

…Corn and Roasted Poblano Cilantro Rice…

…several types of tortillas…

…I stuffed a corn one with each salsa…

…plus a serving of everything:

Look – didn’t even need to dig into my stash last night…

…these candies have liquid flavored centers. Tried the Hazelnut one and it was like a Nutella party in my mouth.

Cake time!

Two types of flourless chocolate ones…

…plus Lemon/Lime Tarts…

…and fresh berries with whipped cream.

A sliver of each – the more traditional chocolate-y one may be the greatest gluten-free dessert I’ve ever tasted! Rich, moist, perfect.

(The tart wasn’t too shabby either.)

Fruit refills, no cream necessary. Even the fresh lychee were sweet!

I shared seconds with Abe.

Speaking of my hubby, here’s some of the pix HE snapped…

…capturing behind-the-scenes blogging…

(ugh, posture, Lynn!)

…but mostly magical moments.

Congrats to the happy couple!

Totally Peckalicious!
LOVE the mexican themed menu – the food looks absolutely amazing!!
What a wonderful post, I`m like Pavlov’s dog right now!!! I like mexican food (not too much spicy preferently) but I`m really impress about the potato “tortilla” (“tortilla de patata” in spanish) or like we use to name here in Spain, “spanish tortilla”. I like watching it in a USA party, here is one of the most popular dishes in every spanish home and the “tapa” number one: single (with or wirthout onion), with cheese, “chorizo”, asparagus, shrimps, mushrooms etc, I even tried it with seaweeds. My mother is the number one making “tortilla de patatas” and I`m glad to find it in your blog Lynn. Beautiful wedding!!!
That’s crazy! I think my aunt (in-law) was friends with him growing up. I wonder if she was there?
Either way, looked like an amazing spread and now I want an enchilada and rice.
omg, I can’t believe I know someone who’s related to Gregory Peck. lol. Looks like it was a wonderful day
Lynn, that food looks incredible! Congratulations to the beautiful couple! Looks like everyone had a wonderful time – the weather, the setting, the food.
Enjoy your Memorial Day!
I LOVE Gregory Peck – such a film legend. SO cool that you’re now related – more amazing talent in the family now, since you’re included
Congratulations to Stephen & Kristine Peck!
Wow, that’s some of the yummiest wedding food I’ve seen in a long time! I would love to try that Rick Bayless mole
Great photos, you look beautiful!
Our donation Yoga class this morning was just dedicated to US Vets. How cool! Beautiful wedding
Haha I think my grandma had a huge crush on Greg P
It was a terrific event. The ceremony was so warm and caring, and we danced until the stars came out and the lights of the city twinkled at us through the canyon passes. Kristine did all the menus, and then left the kitchen alone for the day. The food really was the best, colorful, great ingredients, and the dessert was sinful. Here’s to my brother (Steve) and our new sister.
That food! Any idea who catered? I need to find Zucchini Blossom and Mushroom Quesadillas right now!
yes – the name of the company is “a seasonal table” – the link is in the post!
Thank you for this instant replay of our wedding.
