…how I’ve been feeling lately.

Stress + frustration = no appetite and a strong need to chomp away on sugar. I ate probably about 3x the amount of post-meal candies than I normally do yesterday!

Luckily, I couldn’t sit at home crying and feeling sorry for myself; there was a long-standing dinner date with Joy, Kim, and Sammy. Impossible not to cheer up when it’s Taco Salad night…

…and Arlo’s stealing our footwear.

On my plate – a base of Romaine…

…two types of ground meat with taco seasoning (can you tell which is vegetarian? I couldn’t)…

…salsa, tomatoes, guacamole, Cotija (I left off the sour cream).

Tortilla Chips crumbled on top, plus hot sauce…

…these chips from Homeboy are so good!

Refilled on cheese-less nachos with more guac, (real) meat, and salsa.

Brought a box of Q-Bees to share, plus a pint of strawberries…

…also sampled a piece of incredible Hand Dipped Salt Caramels Joy brought back from NYC (her husband Corey is on Broadway right now in The Best Man!)

Thanks for helping me refill my pool, ladies.

I feel ya on being drained. I’m right there with you. I’m the same way with no appetite, but the sugar bug has gotten hold of me too! Hopefully things will calm down for you soon!
Big hugs (& hersheys kisses)
Being with good friends is always a fantastic idea for “refilling our pools”. I want to thank you for show us -Flor de sal-, because I didn´t know this site and I`m going to use it for a gift to one of those friends who likes cooking very much.
Ah they’ll love it!
Friends are the best energizers
. We all have those days! For me, when I hop on my bike and go for a ride to the beach, it all melts away.. The thing to remember is that the next morning almost always feels bright & new.
Btw, your friend’s kitchen ( and the lighting) is kind of amazing!
beach bike riding – must do that! yes, isn’t it a beautiful space? every time i go there i want to move downtown!
